Unexplained infertility is a term that many couples who are
having difficulty conceiving, are being faced with these days. What is
unexplained infertility?
Basically, it is a
diagnosis given to couples who have not been able to become pregnant and who
have had fertility testing done, but with no apparent problems.
It is a type of infertility that is idiopathic in the sense
that the reason for the infertility is not known even after all the many
different tests are completed.
Think you can't get pregnant? THINK AGAIN!!
As difficult as this is to hear, approximately 20 to 30% of
infertile couples are being told that they have unexplained infertility. There
may, of course, be something wrong, but simply cannot always be detected with
the current testing methods. Here is a possible list of things that may be
wrong, but that will not necessarily show up during testing. They include:
*The egg is not
being released at the optimal time needed for fertilization
*Sperm is unable to
reach the egg
*Decreased maternal
immune tolerance toward the embryo
*The transport of
the zygote is somehow interfered with
*The egg may not
enter into the fallopian tube
*Failure of
implantation
*Fertilization does
not happen
*Eggs that are not
of a high enough quality, and are at a reduced capacity (there are no tests
available for this)
*Polymorphisms in foliate
pathway genes
Many couples with unexplained infertility will often go on
to taking a fertility medication such as Clomid, and have intrauterine
insemination (IUI). When trying this does not work, many go on to the process
of in vitro fertilization or (IVF). What most are unaware of, however, is that
sometimes during IVF, subtle infertility factors can be detected, which can
also make in vitro a diagnostic tool as well. One issue that can often cause
problems but normally goes undiscovered due to the lack of a test is
insufficient egg quality. But, when one is having IVF, a woman’s egg quality
can be seen at the time of the retrieval of eggs, under the microscope. This
can provide some very valuable information about an incredibly important
subject. Another issue that can be discovered through IVF and no other means is
if a couple has poor embryo development after fertilization. If one of the these things is the reason for your “unexplained infertility”, the good news is that
there are ways to treat these problems and achieve your goals with the help of
in vitro fertilization.
If you haveunexplained infertility, there are definitely some options that you canutilize, so don’t give up hope. Some of the best choices are:
*Oral ovarian
stimulation (Clomid, Letrozole or Anastrozole)
*Intrauterine
insemination (IUI)
*In vitro
fertilization (IVF)
*Intracervical
insemination (ICI)
Fertility cleansing
also may help followed by the taking of fertility herbs, some of which would
include:
*Dong Quai
*Rhodiola
*Maca
*Motherwort
*Vitex, Chaste
Tree Berry
*Tribulus
*Red Raspberry
Leaf
Some supportive herbs for the male’s fertility include:
*Goji Berry
*Seaweed
*American Ginseng
Root
*Tribulus
*Milk Thistle
Seed
*Maca Root
*Fo-ti
If you have already been tested and diagnosed with
unexplained infertility, remember that you do have other options. Consider that
you may need additional testing, or that it could be as simple as needing a
changed diet or a reduction in either you or your partner’s stress level.
Remember, try and keep a positive attitude and don’t give up until you have
tried every possible avenue, even if some of them may not sound like something
that you would normally think of as an option.
Thanks for sharing such a piece of knowledgable information to all the people. People with the infertility problem may contact Gem Hospital and IVF Centre to get the best treatment.
